EV-4114 Quad Digital Transmitter Board


The Coryell & Wiprud EV-4114 will accelerate your evaluation of Graychip's GC4114 Quad Transmitter and will jump-start your product development. The EV-4114 generates interesting signals right out of the box - just hook up a power supply and spectrum analyzer. You can choose between 32 preprogrammed GC4114 register configurations and select CW, QPSK, or Pseudonoise waveforms by setting dip-switches and pushing the Load button.

The EV-4114 gives you the power to completely and thoroughly test the GC4114 as well. Any computer can control all aspects of GC4114 operation using the high speed RS-232 port. There are many different ways of driving the board with signal data. You can digitize and put 4 signals on the air simultaneously using the built-in 14 bit, 300 KSPS, A/D converters. Most DSP chips interface directly using their standard serial ports or the TMS320C40's comm port. There is a symbol serial (I, Q, and clock) digital interface for QPSK modulation. An FM modulator and a pseudonoise source are provided. You can monitor the output signal using the built-in 12 bit, 50 MSPS D/A converter. And finally, high speed (50 MSPS) digital input and output interfaces round out the I/O and allow multiple EV-4114s to be daisy-chained so you can sum 8, 12, or more channels together.
